“My wife and daughter are taking care of back-to-school business, so we are practicing football and getting Dorian ready for next year. He couldn’t play this year because I work nights right now and can’t attend his practices and games. I will be in full attendance next year, and he will be ready to go.
I played football at LeFlore High School and sharing this with my son means everything. I didn’t have much father-and-son time growing up and that motivates me to be in Dorian’s life even more. These practices aren’t just about football, they are about life lessons. They are about leading a peaceful and happy life, giving my kids a good example, and sharing the culture that passes down for generations. Dorian is four, but I learn just as much from him as he learns from me. We learn from each other.
I stay in these moments because I know they won’t last forever.”
