My brother taught me how to do this

July 9, 2019

“I grew up in Puerto Rico. My brother taught me how to do this. I can make fish, birds, flowers, hats, baskets, grasshoppers, and crosses. My brother is having problems and my mother is taking care of him, so now I run the business. I have been doing this for 14 years. Even when I sleep my hands move. They always have to do something or I get tired. We live close to the rain forest and were nine months without power after the hurricane. My girlfriend was a waitress at a restaurant and I left her flowers that I made. It is how I got her to notice me. I love making hand-made art and then giving them away to make people happy.”
