My grandmother passed away and we came back to Fairhope for the funeral

December 3, 2021

Joshua: “My grandmother passed away and we came back to Fairhope for the funeral. My grandparents had a house on top of the bluff, but it burned down. I would come down to the beach to play. There were swings and a seesaw here then, too. This brings back a lot of memories. I fell off the seesaw the last time I was here.

We live in Alexandria, Virginia, outside of Washington D.C. I’m in the Army. They sent me to Arlington Cemetery to do funerals. Our uniforms are held to a very high standard. I spend a lot of attention and time working on the details of it. We do standard and full honors funerals. I get out of the Army in two years, and we plan to move back here.”

Abna
“I have lived in Virginia, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Malaysia. We’ve been married for six months. We met hiking and married fast. I liked him a lot and asked him to marry me. This is my first time in Alabama. It’s beautiful. I want to live here.”
