My passion is public speaking

“My father was a jeweler in Kentucky. When I was 10, he had a car accident delivering a clock and broke his neck. He was paralyzed from the neck down and couldn’t move his fingers and we moved to Alabama to stay with his family. My mom took care of him for over 20 years. That was a huge change for me. I also got a divorce the same year he died. I had three car accidents which caused fibromyalgia. I remarried and have three stepkids and 8-year-old twins.

My passion is public speaking. I have been doing it since I was 10. I face depression and I have been through things and I speak personally and from the heart. I will speak about depression. You have to sink or swim, you can’t let whatever is going on drown you. Moms, women, we go through so much and we all have real life struggles. I hate getting out of bed and I feel sick every day with my fibromyalgia. It would be easy to say in bed and cry all day, but I have to make myself get up because laying in bed won’t do me any good. My main goal is to raise my kids and make them better people. It is hard. Being a Christian isn’t easy, but we have to keep going and trying to make the world better.”
