“The tornado scattered mail everywhere. People are finding mail from years ago, and some are finding mail blown from Rolling Fork to north Mississippi. This is a good community, and our customers have gone through so much. We are thankful for the people coming to town and feeding us lunch.
I am a rural carrier. I have worked at the post office for 30 years, and I am retiring in three years.”

“We work at the Rolling Force Post Office and have been on the ground since day one. Our building is barely standing. The first few days, we were out here in tents giving out mail. We gotten care packages from everywhere. Yesterday a retired postmaster from Maryland drove down with a van full of supplies.
We are tired and getting more emotional. We see the destruction non-stop because it is always here. I want to say, ‘That’s enough. Switch it back Jesus.’ But we put on our big girl panties and push through. The customers are so happy to see us because we have the mail they have been waiting for – the outfit they ordered or the medicine they need. Nothing else may be normal, but they can get their mail.”
