“We feed the hungry Monday through Friday with my church. We have been doing it 3 or 4 months. Feeding the hungry is in the Bible and our pastor preaches about it. We are from the AME Zion church and started a program to feed them. We give them a bag lunch of a meat, a bottle of water, a desert and a fruit. On Monday we give them a can of Vienna sausage, Tuesday is beef stew, Wednesday is tuna, Thursday is pasta. Friday is tuna again or sardines. It means a lot to me to do this to give back. Why not help the poor? Since we have been doing this, they look for it every day. The church buys part of the food and individuals buy the other. We make 28 lunches and different groups come each day.”
