Sometimes you have to enjoy the moment. That is where birthdays come in.

“Today is my birthday. I love where I am in life. I started a restaurant thee months ago with my partner chef. As a kid, I always wanted to be behind the bar and private bartending led to this. The dream was to have a jazz bar in a hotel in front of the ocean. I have more than a jazz bar. Before this, I managed an adult store for 10 years. Any business in sins is a great business. It is human nature.”

“We can never work here as fast as our minds think. Sometimes you have to enjoy the moment. That is where birthdays come in. It is your own private party. Anywhere I go, people are there for my birthday. If not, I tell them it is my birthday and they get happy. That is why it is a happy birthday. It is living in the present. The present is a gift you have to enjoy. Get your mind and soul on the same frequency so you are being yourself and not who someone else wants you to be or the person you are expected to be. You can’t be sad on your birthday.”

“I have a passion for making people feel good. I talk to different people every day or the same people who have different emotions or thoughts on their mind. I love a conversation that begins and doesn’t end. What was that person doing 15 minutes ago? It’s like a movie. How creative do you want to be with your scene? Is this the day you are the superhero? Or the lover? What do you love to do? Do that in your movie.”

“Last year on my birthday, I was unemployed. The restaurant was an impulse, but we made it happen. Now working hard is the easy part. My father always told me ‘If you don’t risk you don’t win and you don’t lose. But don’t forget you don’t win.'”

“Live for just one moment. Live your moment and give up everything for it. Would you do it?”
