“I love working for T.P. Crockmiers. Ms. Mary and Mr. Bill take care of us. I have been serving for 16 years, but this is my first time serving during Mardi Gras. It can be hectic, but it’s also a joy because people are happy, smiling, and laughing. It is a week of double shifts, but B-12 keeps me going. The extra hours will help me buy a car after Mardi Gras. I won’t have to keep using friends or Lyft for rides.
I flipped my truck three years ago. It rolled over three times. It was shocking, and I’ve been scared to drive. I need to grow up and get back out there. In the next five years, I want to have my own house, a husband, and a baby. One day I also want to own a restaurant. I love serving people and making them feel good. My goal is to make every one of my customers smile before they leave.”
