“I grew up in Semmes and was a yellow Azalea Trail Maid, but pink has been my favorite color ever since I can remember. It’s a happy color. My license tag says Pinky because that’s what everyone calls me. I have had this pink strand in my hair for eight years. I think it adds more to who I am. It gives me a little more confidence and power.
I went to Southern Miss, and those were four of the best years of my life. I majored in hospitality and tourism management, then COVID struck and killed the industry for a while. I became a bartender for a few years, but I had been praying for a door to open. Then David Posner, who owns the Fort Conde Inn, found me and asked me to interview. I had never heard of this place, but now I know it’s a great little secret. They offered me a job to work at the front desk and to be an event planner. Everything fell into place, and I am finally getting started on my career.”
