“We are sisters and with the kids enjoying the water park. I am retired from the military and work now as an IT specialist. I had to take the day off to fill in the gap with things to do with my grandson during the summer. For the most part my husband and I raise him, he lives in the home with us. His mom works every day and she is involved in his life, but he was made in my house, so he stays in my house. He loves sports and football but I am teaching him not to be a football player. We are trying to teach him the old values our parents taught us. It has gotten lost these days. Trying to instill in him doing the right thing. I have a lot more patience this time around. We were so busy trying to make ends meet raising our kids, now I have more time to do this kind of thing. I never would have thought to take a day off to come to the park, but I get to do that with my grandson. I also enjoy the food. We have season passes and were out here two days ago. I ate some of everything honey.”
“When she was ordering, she said, ‘I can’t decide, just give me all three combos.”
“Don’t make me choose. They were all good. Our family gets together all of the time. There are five girls and three boys. Eight of us. We range from 74 to 49. We are out here with nieces, nephews and their kids. We are a close family, when you see one of us, you see the gang of us. Then extended family from all over is coming down for the Fourth of July. We are known for being the Harvey clan and always together.”
