“We are from Jordan. I work at 7 Spice Grocery and Grill. I am very quiet so I like the sea and trees. We are here for four or five years and then we will go back to Jordan. I love my country, but I love it here also. It wasn’t hard coming here because people were nice to us and people have taken care of my kids. They are going to a great school and my wife is learning English. It has been good to be around different-minded people. I am more serious about life now. My dreams are for my kids, to learn English here and be open-minded and take these experiences home. I left Jordan because I needed a change and to make money. My country is poor. The Syrian war is bad for us. We care about their people.”
