“We’re sisters.  Mom is facing health challenges, so we had these made and brought her to the Mothership music festival with us. This is her at ages seven, fifteen, and fifty-eight. She is swollen now because of her health problems, and she had to cut her favorite ring off her hand. We gave her a new ring that fits her for Mother’s Day. She’s the best to surprise.

Mom is nurturing and a lot of fun. She has twelve grandkids. She always tells them ‘I love you a bushel and a peck.’ They say, ‘And a hug around the neck.’ When we are sick or have problems, we still want her there. When I was finishing up my master’s degree and facing an unplanned pregnancy in Seattle, Mom quit her job and moved from Georgia to Seattle to be with me in my last trimester. She also has a sense of humor. Our initials spell A-S-S.

We’re now a therapist, nurse, and teacher. We’re kickass women thanks to our gorgeous mom.”
