“‘Beer and Butts’ is named for the beer and cigarettes. I kept the name when I bought the store. It is well known around Yazoo City. We open about 8 in the morning but people start drinking a lot earlier than that. I grew up in Yazoo City and moved to Los Angeles. I retired and bought the store in November 2015. I still go back and forth between Yazoo and LA. The two places couldn’t be more different but it is good to be in Yazoo with family and a slower pace.”
