Kendarius: We met in college at the University of West Alabama.
Christina: I had seen him on campus but had never crossed paths until we went on a school camping trip. There were scorpions in the guys’ cabin, so he stayed in our cabin. We had great conversations that night but went in our own directions after the camping trip. Then, we reconnected on Instagram.
Kendarius: She invited me to a Christmas dinner to meet her family–as friends.
Christina: Just friends.
Kendarius: But I was taking a liking to her and enjoyed our time. I had to see her again. She made a statement: it doesn’t matter how far she goes, I better come and see her. I did. She was living in Valdosta, and I took a seven-hour trip to see her. I started doing it habitually. I formally asked if I could court her.
Christina: We dated for a year. We’re getting married in May.
