walking into a stranger’s house and you never know what you are going to find. Sometimes it is dangerous

“I repair AC units and see all kinds of snakes. Water moccasins and copperheads are often hidden by the units underneath the brush and pine straw. I have found snakes inside of electrical boxes. A lot of corn snakes get inside the electrical panels. Once a corn snake was wrapped the neutral bar and was striking out. In Foley, there are a lot of rat snakes in the attic. They climb up the side of the house. Mice and rats nest in the palm trees close to the house and go on the roof and into the attic and the snakes go up and get them. It is walking into a stranger’s house and you never know what you are going to find. Sometimes it is dangerous. There have been a couple of times I thought I would get stiffed, but it hasn’t happened yet. Last week, a customer said his pit bull was nice, and it bit me. Every technician that has been there has been bitten. He gave me free ice cream. More dangerous is the heat in the attic in the summer. I have almost passed out several times. It is good when customers offer water. I have been doing this for 15 years. After work, I fish, shoot my guns and play games with my kids.”
