“People think we are serial killers out here and we aren’t. We lived in the Florida Keys and Irma almost wiped us out. We had a business and doing our thing. I was not born this way. We are working people. We want to work. We were robbed of our new tent in Texas. He took our cash, dog food and my tampons. We have been walking since Texas and are going back to Florida. We have had a few rides but we don’t take all of them because we didn’t trust the people.
The majority of people look down on us when we look like this. Positivity’s is a choice. Pay it forward one way or another. I was having a bad morning and found a painted rock in a park in Mobile that said, ‘Be Strong.’ I kept it in my pocket for a little while and it made me feel better. I put it in a geocache because I thought someone else may need it as much as I did. You can’t keep it all to yourself. Share it with the world and there is more positivity in the world. Don’t make the world shitty, make it more beautiful.”
