I am recovering from a disastrous love affair and needed to get away

July 1, 2016

“I just got my braces four months ago. I never had them. My parents never spent the money, so now I have the money and it is the time to do it. I still have to get the bottom ones on. I am a high school librarian. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree and just finished an Ed.S. in library. I have been doing school work for 15 years and now that I am done I don’t know what to do with myself. I am staying at my daughter’s apartment until she comes down. There is a pier where I can drink wine and watch the sun go down. I just had a pedicure to match my bathing suit because that is what I am living in all week. I don’t like not having anything to do, but I don’t have plans for the summer because I am recovering from a disastrous love affair and needed to get away. I blocked all of his phone numbers so there is no contact. We had been going out for a year and then I found out he is married. It is hard to meet good men where I live. My husband left me 14 years ago and I hadn’t dated until now. When my husband left my counselor told me to write about it and I wrote about until my hand hurt.”

Lovely smart woman. I hope I get to meet her Lynn. Maybe she will come to the advice booth at Page & Palette. She sounds wiser than most persons who have had their hearts broken. Love it that she is taking care of herself. Loving ourselves is often difficult but so important. sonya

She would be great at the advice booth. If she is still in town, I am going to tell her to stop by and meet you and Nancy.
