“I started out drawing cartoon characters. My parents encouraged me but it got me in trouble in class because I would draw instead of paying attention. I am a nerd and like pop culture and that is what I paint. I like portraits of people, too. I painted the portraits for Mobicon on a smaller size, 4 x 6, because it is harder to get the details in a smaller space and I like the challenge. I would love to have my art hanging in a gallery one day. I graduated two years ago in art from South and it is hard to find a job in art and graphic design. I could move, but I want to stay here. I am working at Target and have been there longer than I expected. It was only supposed to get me through school. It has been a struggle to find a job. I don’t want to waste my talent and my degree. I can’t stop making art.”
