I have a scholarship to Alabama to major in aerospace engineering

“I am helping my Aunt Julie getting Christmas gifts together to give to the children of inmates at Mobile Metro Jail. I am a senior at B.C. Rain High School. I have a scholarship to Alabama to major in aerospace engineering. In elementary school, we did electrical and mechanical engineering and I liked those., but at B.C. Rain they have aviation and aerospace. Math is my favorite subject. My aunt Donna told me about the airplane build summer program at school and I loved the hands-on and learning more. I have a 4.0 GPA. I had a C once and that was terrible. My dream job is to be an engineer at NASA. I also want to be a French translator. I love French and will minor in it when I get to college. My mother taught me that education is the most important thing in life and I made it my priority.

I was shocked the day I got into Alabama. I am in the marching band and we were on the bus on the way to a football game. My friend and I were talking about college and I said what if I don’t get accepted. Then I looked at my phone and the acceptance letter was right there. I am still excited

I have moved a lot growing up and transferred from school to school, but I made the best of it and learned I can make friends anywhere. I remember my first day at B.C. Rain. I didn’t know where to go, but people took care of me. I hope Alabama will be the same way. I am so ready to get there.”
