If you live here, please don’t take it for granted

“I am from Missouri, and I’m out here having a God moment. I’m a hairstylist and work for a great company that sends me all over the United States to teach salon professionals. I was blessed to be teaching classes in a salon in Fairhope this week.

I love the aha moments in teaching. Salons hire me to come in because something’s off. I tweak and give them information to help them do what they need to do to make their business or people grow and to make their salon successful. I have always been a teacher, and I am passionate about nudging out the potential and good in others. I help them to become confident in themselves. We are all here to learn from or teach others.

I’m going home today, but I had to stop by the water and get my feet in the sand. I belong by the water. There is serenity here. My husband told me I was going to grow fins cause I have eaten so much seafood.

I stayed in Mobile and watched people fly by me as I drove across that amazing bridge. I met a couple in the park who say they live here and forget what they have. We all need to live in the moment and appreciate the world around us. If you live here, please don’t take it for granted.”
