This week you may have read some of the stories from people of the Mississippi Delta. You should also read the story of Money, Mississippi. We went there to find Robert Johnson’s grave and Bobbie Gentry’s Tallahatchie Bridge, but found Bryant’s Grocery, Emmett Till, and the birthplace of the Civil Rights movement. There is no museum, no T-shirt, and if you didn’t know it was there you would miss it, but it is powerful to stand alone in front of the steps and feel the history. One day it will be gone.
