“I was raised here, but live in Loafer’s Glory, North Carolina. My grandparents had a cabin in the Appalachian Mountains and we stayed there every summer. The mountains are in my blood and they have been calling for a long time. I was supposed to go to graduate school at UNC in Asheville, but that has yet to happen. Loafer’s Glory is a creative community with great artists and I do some art and collect bones, rocks, and wood. I had a few days off and came back home. I have worked for both of my sisters and have been fired by everyone in my family at some point. I deserved it, but I learned a lot.”
