“We are from Georgia. We run a tow truck service and were headed to Louisiana to tow cars from the flood, but the company we had a contract with said their part of the job was finished. We were halfway down here and decided to go to the beach. We see anything from breakdowns to accidents in this job. If kids are involved in the accident, that gets to you. The adults do it to themselves.”
“We did the Atlanta city life for about five years and got tired of the big city life and went back to where we are from. It is nicer out in the woods.”
“We do a lot of hunting and fishing in the woods. I am scared of something happening to our kids. The oldest is not scared of anything, has never met a stranger and takes off into life on her own. She has a lot to learn. We have had to figure this out as we go. Both of my parents are deceased and one of her parents are deceased, so we are on our own.”
“My dad is the one left and bless his heart, children are not is forte. He was a truck driver when I was growing up and wasn’t home much, but to see him watch his grandkids grow is amazing. He is different with them.”
“I was 17 when my dad died and 26 when my mom died. Both had massive heart attacks. My dad was 53 and my mom was 46. You name a medical problem and we have it on my side of the family, I am just going to roll with it and see what happens and do the best we can.”
“We have been together almost ten years. We grew up knowing each other. He was my next door neighbor and his brother and my brother were best friends. It just happened. Once it started, I knew. I was 19 when we got married. We have had rough times and very good times but I wouldn’t change a thing.”
